Switzerland: Neuchatel

Neuchatel is an easy day trip from Geneva - a train ride from Geneva airport or the main station at Gare Cornavin to Neuchatel takes less than 2 hours with one train change in Morges It was pouring when we arrived, and the thunderstorms reduced the visibility and options for walking around the city. We took a taxi to the Best Western hotel on the lake, and spent a delightful couple of hours having drinks and lunch in their rooftop bar and restaurant, watching the storm move past.

Afterwards, the sun came out, and it was a whole new day! We walked up to the Chatel and then back through the city towards the train station.
